In 2012, Cher was awarded a Ph.D. from Griffith University for her thesis The Bridge Between and Swell: Writing Difference in Feature-Film Scriptwriting for National Production and International Co-Production. Bridging the divide between the creative arts and business, Cher’s Ph.D. is another example of the breadth of her professional talents and her ability to think outside the box and act across borders.
