Hi there! I’m Jieling, a passionate Chinese tutor who loves turning language learning into an exciting adventure.
I specialize in game-based and scenario-based teaching, especially for kids and beginners. I design every lesson around fun games, vivid scenarios, and relatable examples. I believe the best way to master Chinese is to use it in real-life contexts.
What You’ll Gain from My Lessons:
1. Engaging, stress-free learning: We’ll play interactive games, sing simple Chinese songs, and use colorful visuals to make every concept stick.
2. Practical, usable skills: From pinyin pronunciation to daily conversations, you’ll learn what you actually need to communicate.
3. Customized lesson plans: I’ll adapt each class to your age, level, and interests—whether you’re a kid who loves cartoons or an adult who wants to travel in China.
When I’m not teaching, you can find me hiking through scenic trails, exploring hidden gems on foot, or hunting for delicious local food—these hobbies not only fill my life with joy but also inspire my teaching style!
Learning Chinese doesn’t have to be hard—it can be as fun as a hike or as satisfying as a tasty meal. If you’re ready to learn Chinese in a way that’s enjoyable and effective, book a trial lesson with me today.
Let’s Start Your Chinese Journey!
1. For kids/beginners
The easiest way to learn Chinese is playing and using it while having fun! Like, when we draw pictures, we learn color words together; when we talk about your favorite snacks, we pick up food vocabulary. And we can sing silly little Chinese songs too! Don’t worry about saying something wrong—talking and playing is the fastest way to get good at it, I promise!
2. For adult learners with travel/work goals
Start with exactly what you need, and use it every single day! If you’re learning for your China trip, focus on things like “I want mapo tofu” or “Where’s the bathroom?” first. Spend just 10 minutes a day practicing those phrases—say them when you’re making coffee, or walking your dog. Link the words to real stuff around you, and it’ll stick way better than just memorizing a list!
1. Travel Survival Chinese
2-3 one-hour sessions per week for 4-6 weeks is enough to master basic phrases for ordering food, asking for directions, checking in at hotels, and shopping.
2. Daily Conversational Chinese
Stick to 2-3 one-hour sessions weekly for 3-6 months, and you can handle daily chats about hobbies, weather, and life routines. This includes basic sentence structures and 500-800 common words.
3. Business Chinese
It requires 6-12 months of systematic learning (2-3 one-hour sessions per week). You’ll learn professional vocabulary for meetings, negotiations, and emails, along with business etiquette-related expressions.
