Hello, My name is Nami. I am a certified Japanese language teacher who works as a freelancer. I have been teaching Japanese since 2018. My time teaching at an embassy, a highly regarded Japanese language school, and a major international company has strengthened my skills and passion for teaching others Japanese. I am also able to help students by explaining lessons in English. I teach Daily conversations, Grammar for JLPT, Business Japanese, Kanji, Pronunciation correction, etc with Zoom or in person. I will arrange the curriculum in line with your requests. Since 2018, I have received training in conversation-based Japanese teaching methods. You can practice speaking real Japanese that you can use when actually communicating with Japanese people, not the unnatural Japanese that appears in textbooks. I select original files and suitable texts to teach lessons according to the needs of the learners.

Hajimemashite! I'm Haruka from Nara, Japan. I have passed the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test and have been working at a language school in Sydney since September 2018. Since then, I have been teaching different types of learners in both one-on-one and group lesson settings. My students are studying with me to achieve various goals such as... - Learn basic Japanese to prepare for travel - Prepare for exchange study in Japan - Receive support for university study - Pass the JLPT - Understand Japanese in Anime and manga I have many students who have started from a complete beginner and they are now able to communicate in Japanese. I recently tutored a student to prepare for a speech contest organized by the Embassy of Japan in Norway and she successfully won the first prize. Both private and group lessons available in person and online! Feel free to reach me for any questions! *My teaching Philosophy* I believe that speaking and the application of language is the best way to improve! I do my best to maximize the students' speaking time. This helps grammar and pronunciation sink in better. *Tailored lessons for you* I like to tailor lessons individually, depending on students' levels and learning styles through choosing proper materials and carefully monitoring and guiding their progress. I use not only the existing materials, but also handmade materials which I made using various software. - beginner to intermediate levels: a combination of textbook material and speaking practice to introduce and consolidate the grammar. - advanced levels: often complex written material such as manga, novels or magazines that are either the students' choice or my recommendation. - children : games and interactive materials for full student engagement *Lesson structure* A brief summary of how each session goes. 1. Introduction of grammar Grammar of the lesson with example sentences and visual aids are introduced. 2. Grammar Practice Students practice grammar by changing the syntax with new vocabulary. 3. Conversation Practice Students learn and practice creating conversation using the grammar 4. Listening exercises Students listen to either pre-recorded or personally spoken conversation at native speed. *Languages used for teaching* Mainly Japanese to immerse students in the language A combination of English and Japanese is used to assist beginners

(Available online and face-to-face classes) Hi everyone, I am a Malaysian. I speak Mandarin, Japanese, Cantonese, English and basic Bahasa Melayu. I do provide classes to teach Japanese and Chinese. Japanese classes: can be conducted in Mandarin, Cantonese or basic English. Chinese classes: can be conducted in Cantonese, Japanese or basic English. Textbooks that will be used: Minna no nihongo, Marugoto. Teaching style can be adjusted to meet the needs of the students. For example, use regular textbooks + watching movies/cartoons, or dialogue + playing games to teach. Available online and face-to-face classes. Content of face-to-face classes 1) Offers the option of going to a public place near the student to teach 2) Offer the option to teach at the student's home (students under 12 will be given priority, prior zoom or skype meeting required). It is recommended to meet in public places such as cafes, malls and fast food restaurants. My own preferred location is Midvalley, or alternatively we can discuss where to meet. ** Face-to-face classes will charge extra for transportation per session ( petrol + toll + parking + time required for commuting). **No extra transportation fee if it is within 7km distance from my location. **Extra transportation fee charges range is depending on the location, estimated from RM15~RM60. Currently available class times Saturday 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. ( on alternate weeks) Sundays 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. ( on alternate weeks) **Tips** 1) It takes an estimated 1 month to master Hiragana/Katakana (1-2 weeks for fast learners who are diligent in memorizing and practicing writing 25-50 times a day). 2) The official estimate for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test is that it takes 6-8 months to fully master the N5 level, and about 6 months to 1 year for the N4 level. (In fact, if learners are willing to spend more time on the course and self-study, it will shorten the overall time required). I am appreciate it if you could have a talk with me before making payment. If you feel after your consultation that the course is not for you, you can simply reply to me that it is not suitable, please do not have read messages without replying :) About myself Mandarin is the native language I have been using since I was a kid. They may seem complicated, but once you understand how Mandarin works, you understand that it's actually quite interesting. I studied Japanese at a language school in Japan for about two years (the reason for studying was because I wanted to understand what the game entailed), and passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N2 and N1 in two years, taking classes at a specialized school for the remaining two years. After graduating and returning to Malaysia, I started using Japanese in my career as a Japanese translator and coordinator for a CG production company, and then have been working in the medical industry as an administrative and HR assistant. Currently, I am a full-time freelance Japanese speaker, primarily working on document translation, short-term projects and teaching languages. I believe that the success rate of any language process is higher if people who want to learn Japanese persist in their passion and perseverance for learning the language. I would think so because I studied abroad in Japan even though I did not know the basic fifty sounds of Japanese, and I was only motivated by the desire to learn Japanese. I hope that my past study abroad experience will help those interested in learning Japanese to master simple Japanese and Mandarin in their areas of interest, and to enjoy and feel the cultural appeal of Japanese and Mandarin in the process, so I welcome anyone interested in learning Japanese and Mandarin to contact me.

(ONLY AVAILABLE FOR ONLINE LESSONS OR FACE-TO-FACE LESSONS IN KATIPUNAN OR DILIMAN, QC ) I started self-studying Japanese back in high school and managed to get to an N2 level through on and off studying. I am currently working towards N1 in Japanese. On top of this, I study Spanish (B2), Chinese (HSK 4) and Russian (A2). I have experimented with different learning methods with different languages and am familiar with the nuances of most languages, the struggles of language learning. As a result, I am committed to forming the best teaching methods for students. I try to focus more on exposure than classroom learning and the process of building a routine when teaching people but I will happily adjust to the preferences of the student. Learning a language and teaching a language are both neverending journeys and I would be happy to support you in your journey while learning myself.

Keen to learn "raw" Japanese? Hajimemashite, はじめまして! As well as I have experiences as an assistant Japanese teacher, I keep my Japanese alive by connecting with Japanese in different age groups in Japan through live-streamings. :) I also taught Japanese in an organization which I enjoyed a lot. One of the things I surprised... so many male students spoke "feminine" Japanese without knowing it..as they have more chance to learn it from ladies than gentlemen. This is just an example, I am excited to teach you "real" and "raw" Japanese with a laugh.... I love comedy, too. :) If you prefer learning polite Japanese, you can! as well with me. When I was in Japan, I worked at an office as well as 5-star hotels and VIP only Japanese private restaurants affiliated with a bank where I had to speak very polite Japanese. That means I can also teach polite Japanese "keigo" from my experiences on top of text books. I also teach JLPT and customise your lessons to meet your goal, purposes etc if you have one. Thank you for choosing to learn Japanese! I hope you enjoy my lessons. ※ Basically, I do one on one lesson. If you would like to have lessons for more than 1 person, please let me know before you pay the fee here. Thank you.
