Hi, I’m Yaro! I'm 21 years old, and I am from Lviv, Ukraine, currently doing an internship as an Engineering student at 東京大学 (The University of Tokyo) for 1 year and half already.
My interest in foreign languages and studying abroad began in childhood. As the result, since 4 or 5 years old, I have always been studying one, two or even three languages at a time. Mastering languages also led me to gaining teaching experience, starting with helping my younger sister with math and English classes at school. When I was in high school, I worked as a wakeboarding instructor for 3 summer seasons, teaching all ages and skill levels. Despite the difference in subject matter, this experience taught me how to find an approach to different people and explain complex concepts clearly. Recently, during my university studies, I worked as a teaching assistant for a programming course, assisting students with understanding topics and completing assignments.
Since my English level is fluent, despite studying the Japanese language too, I still use English mainly in my daily life to communicate with other foreign and local students, or in other daily situations. Having extensive experience not only teaching but also learning English myself, I would be glad to share with you some of my life hacks and methods to make studying English more efficient and enjoyable :)
I would be a suitable teacher for you if you would like to improve your speaking and listening skills, or you need help with assignments, or you would like to learn new grammar/vocabulary, or you want me to revise your writing, etc.
It should not be difficult! You can have a lot of fun learning the language!
This question is not easy to answer. It all depends on your interest, pace of study, teacher etc. However, I would say that you can surely gain a new level of language every 6 months or 1 year (e.g. from A2 to B1 or B1 to B2) if you are studying regularly.
