My name is Irmak. I am 24 years old and I am from Turkey. I live in Sarajevo for 4 years. I was born in 1997 in a small city on the coast of Turkey. After completing my primary and secondary education in the province where my family lives, I enrolled in Milas Anatolian teacher high school as a boarding student in another province. Although it was difficult to start living apart from my family at the age of 13, it had a very positive effect on me and my personality. After graduating from high school in 2016, I moved to Bosnia and Herzegovina from my home country, Turkey, to study Psychology at the International University of Sarajevo in 2018 for my undergraduate education. There were many factors affecting my choice of university education in Bosnia. The most important of these was the fact that I had access to a broad education, which I thought would contribute a lot to me my future professional career, and that it developed me in social and personal areas.
