Hello, learners! I am a Slovenian native speaker able to help you in all aspects of learning and perfecting Slovenian. I'm living in Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia. I've been teaching Slovene to foreigners for more than 4 years. I can teach Slovene practically to anyone (teenagers, students, Erasmus students, adults, businessmen, etc.) During those 4 years I taught a lot of students coming from all over the World. Some of them are living in Slovenia for work or they have fallen in love and decided to stay here. Some of them are just Erasmus students and want to have a couple of lessons or learn few words. I have also taught businessmen who wanted to have specific knowledge of Slovene. I love teaching, as for me it means a win-win situation. I teach you as learner a new language which you can sucessfully use in a everyday scenarios and also I can learn from you some new things and new way of thinking. I have learned that people living in a different countries all around the globe have different mindset from country to country. I can quickly and effectively teach you to pronounce and to use Slovenian in a very natural way. In my experience, learning is best accomplished when it is interesting. I am a student of Computer Science who has lived in the Netherlands. I used to live in Maastricht, and I speak Slovene, Dutch, and English. I'd love to share my knowledge of Slovenia and the Slovene language with beginners as well as advanced speakers! :) I have not taught Slovene professionally but during highschool I led the Slovene group at our school which consisted of mainly younger students. Together we furthered our proficiency in Slovene and grew as a community of Slovene expats in Maastricht.

Hello, my name is Rok, born in Slovenia and lived around the globe. Languages are my passion and learning Latin in elementary school helped me to learn romance languages fairly easily and also decode the Slavic languages. I can explain the nuances of the Slovenian language in French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German, Croatian, Serbian, Bosnian, Montenegrin, or English, make structural comparisons between these languages, and Slovenian, and give some heuristic hints on how to learn Slovenian faster. Moreover, as an ex-expat I can easily make a rapport with foreigners living in Slovenia, calibrate the topics of discussion, and bridge the cultural differences, all with the aim of making a language learning interaction as smooth as possible.
