I'm educated teacher, and love to customize the teaching to each student. In Norway I taught English, Norwegian and Math to foreigners, and I translated some of it into Arabic for my students. I worked with refugees in Norway, and many of them didn't have any school background. Neverthless, the ones that wanted to learn, did it. Some of my student/refugees were very focused, and they talked fluently after 2 years, other used more time. But all of them understood Norwegian and talked Norwegian with Norwegians. I also taught some persons outside school. The focus was on culture, idoms and conversation. I recommend my students to watch Norwegian/English movies for children, read/listen to children books , talk with Norwegians/Englishmen, and of course study, and ask questions. I have finished a language course now so I know a little bit about how it is to study a foreign language, what kind of question I got about the culture, and idoms and so on. This is really useful and will be added in the lessons. Is it difficult? Some will say yes, others no. I will say if you are able to use 15 minutes a day you will make it. And if you have questions, just ask. That will help you to make it quicker.

Learn Norwegian and about life in Norway. Grammar is of course important, you will need to study a lot of grammar, but the most important will be to learn how to speak and understand the language. If you are planning to move to Norway, it’s also important to get to know all the do’s and don’ts while in Norway. I strive to make lessons fun and most importantly you will be able to speak and understand Norwegian. I will adapt the tutoring based on the student's level and their goal in learning Norwegian.

Hi, I’m Nina, I was born in Norway, but have lived in the UK for 15+ years and currently living in London with my family. I’ve always had a passion for different languages and I currently speak 4 fluently including Norwegian as my primary language. I also speak Marathi, Hindi, and English of course :) I’ve had friends from all around the world and the best way I’ve learned part of their language is through conversations - in my opinion, it’s the best way to learn a new language! Hope to speak to you soon :) Nina

Hello! I’m Jules, a Norwegian tutor based in Melbourne with a passion for helping people achieve their language goals. I speak fluently Norwegian (my mother tongue) and English and dabble a bit with German, Swedish, and Danish. This journey started when I was a student assistant for bachelor-level classes and thoroughly enjoyed teaching individually. After I while I was constantly teaching my partner my language until we discovered how much the language apps are lacking in good teaching. My lessons are interactive, personalized, and designed to make learning Norwegian enjoyable and accessible. I tailor each session to fit your individual needs, with the inclusion of practical exercises, cultural insights, and fun activities. Since I am a Designer, I can also provide home-class printables. Let’s embark on your language journey together! Feel free to reach out, and we can discuss how I can best support your learning goals.

The most difficult part in learning a foreign language is the practice, which can be acquired only by conversing with a native speaker. For people willing to practice foreign languages, it is difficult to find a private language tutor who lives or works in their city. TUTOROO has been designed to provide a frictionless experience while connecting tutors to students, for private in-person language lessons.
