I will add some introductions for the session below. Hit me up if you want a shortcut to being like a native Korean! How to learn Korean with Junghee! I'll be so privileged to study Korean with you! These are the basic form of the ‘Learning Korean with Jung’. We can edit this guideline for our lessons depending on what level you are at/you want. 1. Grammar Grammar could be the pickiest part of learning languages. Especially for Korean, we Koreans have so many rules and expressions for one sentence that possibly changes the nuance of context. It also contains the cultural background. So we need to understand the principle of the language itself. Our plan for grammar in Korean will follow up the tool we executively use for each student, For example, If you enjoy K-POP, we can pick up lyrics from your favorite song and that would give us resources to connect to the grammar that each sentence has so that you easily associate what we learned with your everyday life. 2. Vocabulary We are going to work on the customized vocabulary list. The words we use in normal conversations are composed of which area we live in. For some Korean words, You can’t even directly translate them to English in your head because there’s no word for that meaning in English. The fastest way I found to learn a language is to personalize the language with how you live your life, which words you use daily, and what you’re interested in. I’ll help you get to that point by giving examples, synonyms, the right pronunciations, and connected idioms (If needed) for each vocabulary. 3. Speaking/Listening Most of you might want to set your goal of learning Korean as speaking/listening in Korean fluent “enough”. We pick topics and subjects that make you want to speak up and develop your speaking/listening skill. Usually, the more your ears are familiar with the language, the easier your mouth opens up and makes sounds. I’m excited to see that you have a casual conversation with me like so Korean! 4. Writing (application) For some people, writing is not an essential part. You might not want to go that deep. However, if you want, we go further with writing a Korean journal and having the time for correction. It might be evidence of how passionate you were about learning Korean and to see how you’ve got your improvement in that! 5. Reading We can’t exclude the reading part if you want to speak well in Korean. We are going to use articles/newspaper/movie scripts to practice the fancy Korean sentences. You will see most of the things we learn during our session on these kinds of professional content.
