Hello, I am Heewon Kim from South Korea. Currently, I am teaching Korean to foreign people on three online tutoring platforms, and this year marks my fourth year of experience. This experience showed me how fun teaching is and the fact that I am capable of tutoring someone. Plus, having spoken to many international people I found some to be intrigued by Korean culture. So with my students I often find myself teaching them a lot about Korea as a country as well. You can check my teaching skills below. - Teach the basics of Korean in a cohesive structure to get you going quickly. - Provide my own materials and documents about grammar, expression, and vocabulary, not a boring textbook. - Tailor lessons specifically to a student's skills and goals.

Hello! Nice to meet you! My name is Yui, and I’m really happy to be here with you. I’ve always been interested in foreign languages and cultures, and I love connecting with people from all over the world. That’s what inspired me to start teaching Korean! I studied abroad in the U.S. for two years during high school, which helped me pick up English naturally. Around that time, I also started teaching Korean to my friends, and I realized that while teaching a language can be challenging, it’s also incredibly rewarding. Later, I decided I wanted to teach Korean more professionally, so I enrolled in an online university where I'm currently majoring in Korean language education to become a certified teacher. I’ve also worked as an English instructor for four years and volunteered for six months at a Korean language center, helping international students with their Korean. So I’m very comfortable teaching foreign languages and working with students from different backgrounds. I’m also a language learner myself! When I was studying in the U.S., my closest friend was Japanese, which sparked my interest in Japan. I’ve traveled there five times—to Osaka, Tokyo, and Kyoto—and now I’m studying Japanese on my own. It’s not easy, but I enjoy the process, and now I can manage basic travel conversations. I also study a bit of French from time to time! I offer two main types of classes: 1. General Korean Lessons (for beginners, intermediate, and advanced levels): I choose textbooks that match your level and help you learn Hangul, grammar, vocabulary, and useful expressions step by step. 2. Korean Conversation Classes: We read a short Korean text based on your level, learn new words and expressions, and then practice speaking through natural conversations. I’ll give you feedback on your pronunciation and help correct any unnatural expressions so you can speak more confidently and naturally! My teaching style is slow, steady, and focused. I really enjoy working with students who are consistent and motivated. If you like a calm, supportive atmosphere where you can truly focus on learning, I think we’ll be a great match! Here are the answers to the questions about learning Korean that are usually mentioned. Q1. How easy is it to learn Korean? A1. I can't give you an exact answer because it depends on what your mother tongue is like, or the environment in which you have grown up. However, Hangul, commonly called the Korean alphabet, is very easy to learn. But the Korean language itself can be a little difficult. However, as I said before, learning consistently and with confidence will lead you to an easy way to learn Korean. Q2. What is the easiest way to learn Korean? A2. I think the easiest way to learn Korean is to first learn Hangul, the Korean alphabet. Then, I think that you should be exposed to Korean as much as you can in your daily life. Q3. Is Korean easy to learn or difficult to learn? A3. This is a similar question to Q1, but Hangul, the Korean alphabet, is easy to learn. However, as with all languages, the more you progress, the more difficult it becomes and you may want to give up. However, I think the most important thing is to learn consistently with confidence. Then you will think that your Korean skills will improve and that difficulties will be a challenge and that it will be easy. Q4. How long does it take to learn Korean? A4. The answer to this question seems to depend on how much time you can invest in studying Korean. Called the Korean alphabet, Hangul, you will be able to learn, read, and write in one day because it is very easy to learn. However, it will take a long time to master a single language. Just like all languages. However, it is important to learn slowly but consistently with confidence. I’ll do my very best to help you reach your goals. Looking forward to working with you!
