Hello! I am a Master's of Applied Linguistics student at UNSW in Sydney. I finished my bachelor's degree in English Literature from the USA after living most of my life in Dubai, UAE. During high school, I studied Bangla as part of my optional language course for my O-Level Exams for eight years. Additionally, I spent two full academic years at a school in Bangladesh (year two and three), which helped strengthen my foundation in the language. I have always enjoyed education and have taught English in Bangladesh over several summer breaks. As a language enthusiast, I have taught myself spoken Hindi/Urdu and a bit of Arabic (writing, reading, and speaking) and therefore I understand how much motivation plays a role in acquiring a new language. I am Zinia. I was an assistant teacher of a reknowned kindergarten school in my district. It is one of an amazing journey for me in my life. Cause it makes me patient, polite, thoughtful, creative and so on. In that time, i learnt how to manage a preschooler or kindergartner, how to make lessons more interesting to them. Bengali will be easy when the students will enjoy it. More practice will make the language easy to learn. Actually it’s not that much easy to learn but if we get a complete "bengali environment" at our home then It's just a blink of eye to learn this sweet language. If we want to speak and learn to write in bengali then it will take at least 6-8 months. Just love your mother tongue it will give you a bunch of sweet feelings.
