I have been teaching Japanese for 7 years.
I love helping students who feel nervous about speaking Japanese become confident and enjoy conversations!


My lessons are

Learn Japanese alphabets, greetings, and basic conversation and more! I have taught many students who had zero knowledge of Japanese. I will guide you through every step of the way! :)

Prepare for your trip! Ordering food, shopping, Asking questions at a store, Transport , etc.. plus I can share some travel tips and recommended spots in Japan!


🟠 Conversational Japanese


Practice everyday conversation and build confidence in speaking naturally. I use various interesting topics such as hometown , holiday, childhood, animals, etc. Let's have fun speaking and sharing stories!

Maki is a phenomenal Japanese tutor, and I highly recommend her to anyone wanting to learn Japanese. She creates such a safe, supportive, and encouraging space to learn. Plus she is so friendly and incredibly patient. I study with my younger brother, and Maki is always accommodating, making sure the lessons work for both of us. One of the things I appreciate most is how she incorporates our interests and hobbies into our lessons. On top of language, she shares so much helpful context about Japanese culture and etiquette, and always has great recommendations—especially as we’re hoping to travel to Japan soon.
