EN & JP Bilingual Tutor

Hi, my name is Hiro. I’m a student studying pharmacy in Australia. I speak 2 languages: English and Japanese. I was born in Osaka but have experience living in China, Taiwan, and Australia.

I normally speak standard Japanese, but I can also use the Kansai dialect if you’d like to explore a more casual and regional style!

In the very first lesson, we will spend around 15 minutes on an icebreaker activity. I will then discuss with you the level of formality in Japanese you would like to learn, as well as how much correction and feedback you would prefer. (From the second lesson onwards, this 15-minute session will be replaced with a 30-minute revision period.)

The following 30 minutes will focus on learning grammar and useful phrases, with plenty of repetition practice along the way. We will use the remaining time to practice conversation by applying the words, phrases, and grammar points we have covered during the lesson.

I also offer three correction styles:
• Chill – minimal corrections, just keep talking
• Moderate – key mistakes and better expressions
• Intense – detailed grammar and language feedback
