I am an English teacher. I have been teaching English pretty much since my freshman year and since 2020 I have been teaching Turkish as well. I am a language lover, and an aesthete (especially cinema/theater). I am fascinated by art, culture, languages, history, people, and what I learn from them. As a teacher I can easily say that good communication, good articulation mean a lot to me. No matter how much you know, how much you have acquired, if you are not good at articulating yourself in good elocution, your effort may not be enough, especially in teaching. As once a great Farsi writer living in this country (Rumi) said "...You can only explain as much as who listens to you can understand." In that sense, teaching is always more than transmitting knowledge. A teacher always represents an identity regardless of different learning settings. Looking upon my student years, teachers whom I admired are not those who perhaps know the most but the ones who could express themselves the best.
