Hi there, I am a native Turkish speaker, musician and the music teacher from lovely city Amsterdam. I am still studying Jazz trumpet at the Amsterdam Conservatory since 2014. My mother tongue is Turkish and thanks to my international studies, I can speak English fluently and am currently learning Dutch. I already had a few experience teaching Turkish to my close international friends and I continue teaching in a more professional manner. First of all, Turkish might seem a bit difficult to learn, but don't be afraid. I have seen that with my students, it gets easier along the way, and the more you learn the more you feel mesmerized by the richness and beauty of it. You would be surprised when you realize how you are progressing in a short time. As a music teacher, I have number of skills that might help you with learning a language as well. The Turkish language with its Latin script, is the perfect key to opening up the Middle East culture and even further flung eastern lands and languages. The lessons will be specialized to your aims in a fun and realistic way. In my teaching; everything we learn, we must also use in our conversations. We will increase all your skills with listening, speech, conversation, reading and comprehension. I use all the online meeting platforms with my high quality audio equipment and fast internet connection. So, you don’t worry about hearing my clear pronunciation. We can keep in touch through Whatsapp to improve the daily life speaking in Turkish. Additionally, I would like to prepare the learning material according to your interests, so the classes would be more efficient. I am very enthusiastic to be your guide on this exciting journey. Lets do it together! Ahmet

I don't teach grammar or rules. I aim to give practical knowledge and speaking skills to you so that you will have learned the grammar in no time. Let's think like how a baby would learn the language and abide by that principle. Thus, practicing every day with a tutor correcting your mistakes once in a while is the shortest path to a noticeable improvement. I will not intervene any time you make a mistake but will summarize in the second half hour session and we will focus on improving them. I hope you reach your language goals soon.

I’m Eslem, 26 years old. I work in electrical and electronic engineering. And now I work and study Master's degree at the same time. It's not too easy to learn the Turkish language but I will help you. The best way to learn Turkish is by speaking after you learn to speak it should be easy to write and read cause ita easier than English. In Turkish is pronounced as written. Don't be afraid to start Turkish. I always teach my friends any lesson so, you can trust my teaching skill.

Unfortunately, I will not be teaching temporarily. Check back soon! I study linguistics and I work as a project assistant at my university. I taught English in different countries, I am a professional translator and I attended an online teaching course that was given by Arizona State University. I have experience with both kids and adults, so it could be a nice opportunity for your kid to learn Turkish. I like a friendly attitude that focuses on language production, so be prepared to do a lot of work together with me.

Hi everyone! I am a second-year university student at Amsterdam University College, focusing on social sciences. I am originally from Izmir, Turkey, and I moved here in 2019 to pursue higher education. I really enjoy being a part of the vibrant Turkish community in Amsterdam; I would like to be more involved by teaching Turkish and sharing our culture with people within and outside this community. Back in Turkey, I used to tutor in English; therefore, I have experience tutoring languages, especially with kids. Feel free to reach out; I am very flexible with timing and location! Looking forward to meeting you all:)

Heyoo! I’m Neslihan, and I’m super excited to help you dive into the crazy world of the Turkish language. Turkish is full of surprises – from quirky idioms to fun language facts – and I can’t wait to explore them with you. We’ll not only practice speaking but also chat about the best Turkish movies, the funniest TV series, and the most epic shows. I’ll share my personal favorites, and after you watch them, we’ll discuss everything in Turkish! Sound fun? I promise it is! But that’s not all – we’ll go beyond the language. I’ll introduce you to Turkish culture, the way we think, and, of course, the delicious food (you’ll thank me later for this part). I’m really looking forward to creating a fun and relaxed learning space where you feel comfortable making progress! A bit about me: I’m a 22-year-old student at Leiden University studying International Studies (so I’m all about cultures!). I’ve translated a book called Society 4.0 from English to Turkish, and guess what? I’m also a writer, with my own book coming out in 3 months! I love languages, writing, and storytelling, and I’m ready to bring that passion into our lessons.

TUTOROO has been designed to provide a frictionless experience while connecting tutors to students, for private in-person language lessons.
