Before joining University (in 2013), I used to teaching various English and Swahili languages to secondary school students and adult learners for three years. I also master Portuguese Language as I undertook my University studies in Mozambique prior learning the language. Portuguese was the medium of instruction. I have gained different skils and methodos from my experience of learning and teaching various languages. I recommend learning Swahili as it's the most spoken and widely growing African language. Swahili is now spoken in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Susan, South Sudan, Congo, Mozambique, Zambia, Malawi and Comoros Islands. Learning Swahili is easy as its alphabet is same as of English, only that the q and x letters do not make part of it. For any one interested in learning Swahili, it will take one month to gain basic knowledge of the language like greetings,introduction, farewell, simple communication like asking for direction, prices of goods and services etc. The language can be mastered in about 4 to 6 months of learning. As stated in the title I am patiently optimistic when it comes to teaching languages as I understand it takes time and can get tricky.
