Private Japanese tutor in Kawasaki

Teacher joined in May, 2025

Hello! My name is Azumi. I’m a native Japanese speaker and an online Japanese teacher. I have completed a specialized course in teaching Japanese online. In my lessons, I adapt to your level and goals, whether you're a beginner or more advanced. I use textbooks like Genki for beginners and Quartet for intermediate learners. If you'd like, I can also give you homework to practice between lessons. I'm also a language learner myself—I’m currently studying English and Spanish. I lived in Barcelona for two and a half years, and it was a wonderful experience! Thanks to that, I truly understand both the challenges and joys of learning a foreign language. That's why I always try to create a warm, encouraging atmosphere in my classes. I love traveling, reading, and the manga One Piece. I'm also very interested in learning about different cultures and ways of thinking. I really enjoy talking with people from around the world and learning from each of them. Learning Japanese is fun, but it can also be challenging at times! Let’s speak a lot, make mistakes without fear, and learn together. If you're worried about taking classes only in Japanese, don’t worry— I’ll always support you so that you can understand, step by step. Every student is different, so I adjust the pace and teaching methods to fit your needs. What’s most important to me is that you feel comfortable and motivated throughout your learning journey. Let’s learn Japanese calmly, step by step—and enjoy the process! Are you ready? I look forward to seeing you in class!

The most difficult part in learning a foreign language is the practice, which can be acquired only by conversing with a native speaker. For people willing to practice foreign languages, it is difficult to find a private language tutor who lives or works in their city. TUTOROO has been designed to provide a frictionless experience while connecting tutors to students, for private in-person language lessons.
