-----About me----- Hi! I’m Akane, a Japanese tutor living in Scotland🏴 and love to travel all over the world✈ I've been teaching Japanese on Preply, in-person, and I've worked as a private tutor in Japan! I'm good at helping students to build confidence and stay motivated in the long term. Beginners are always welcome! More than half of my students started from complete beginner level, and you can see how they have improved their Japanese below 👇 With my experience in office jobs, hospitality or working holidays, I can adapt each lesson to your goals and interests such as for someone who plans a trip to Japan, want to learn daily conversation, living in Japan, working holidays, or simply enjoying Japanese more🇯🇵 -----My Lessons----- 🔥 Grammar, Hiragana, Katakana, Kanji 🔥 Natural daily conversation 🔥 Pronunciation and intonation 🔥 Japanese for travel 🔥 Travel planning advice 🔥 Business Japanese 🔥 Interview practice -----What you can expect----- More than half of my students started from complete beginners, and this is what most of them have achieved by studying with me: 🌸 1 month---read hiragana, introduce themselves 🌸 3 months---katakana, basic grammar, simple vocabs, some kanji 🌸 6 months---short conversation in Japanese (e.g. shopping or trip) 🌸 8 months---80% of lessons are in Japanese and be able to talk about most of things in Japanese (e.g. what they did last week or what's the plans for this week) Of course, everyone learns at a different pace, but regular practice makes a big difference! -----A bit more about me☺️----- I spent two years on a working holiday in Australia, and backpacked through 13 Southeast Asian countries. Through these experiences, I met people from many different cultures and learned how fun it is to communicate beyond language barriers. Since I’ve also been studying English myself, I understand how challenging learning a new language can be. That’s why I really admire your effort to learn Japanese, and I’d love to make that journey enjoyable and sustainable for you! I’m also a barista at a world top 100 coffee shop, so if you love coffee, food, or travel, we will probably have a lot to talk about! -----Finally----- I’ll fully support your growth. Learning a language can be challenging to keep up, but consistency is the fastest way to improve. Let’s keep learning Japanese together through fun and enjoyable lessons with me! Book a trial lesson and tell me about your goals. I’ll help you find the best way to improve your Japanese step by step. I’m really looking forward to meeting you in our trial lesson😊

Learn Japanese online or offline with the best private Japanese tutors. Private Japanese lessons will be held by TUTOROO tutors directly and custom-made for your private learning needs. Learn Japanese effectively with the help of a native speaking Japanese tutor. Have fun learning a new language!
TUTOROO is a website that connects you with private, in-person language tutors. We now work with 350,000 tutors in more than 160 cities. We match genuine native speakers with people who want to enhance their conversational skills in any language at their preferred place and time.
The most difficult part in learning a foreign language is the practice, which can be acquired only by conversing with a native speaker. For people willing to practice foreign languages, it is difficult to find a private language tutor who lives or works in their city. TUTOROO has been designed to provide a frictionless experience while connecting tutors to students, for private in-person language lessons.
"I've studied with a native tutor for two months because I'm traveling this week. These classes helped me a lot! I loved TUTOROO and am already recommending it to my friends."
