I’ve got the CELTA certificate which qualifies me to teach English as a foreign language too. I have about 5 years of experience tutoring German and EFL. I am a native German speaker and have lived in the UK for the last 25 years. I think German can be challenging to learn but if you want to learn it you definitely will be successful. I think choosing a topic that the student is interested in is very important and so is having lots of conversations. It’s also important to build a good rapport with students.
