Improve your Dutch with a native teacher

Teacher joined in Oct, 2017

Hello, I am Dorien. I live since 2011 in Cape Town. I am originally from the Netherlands where I graduated in 2004 as Social Worker. My main focus in Cape Town is doing ministry to the poor. (On a voluntary basis I work with girls in prostitution, prisoners, mentally disabled clients and homeless people.) For a while, I am also teaching my husband and a friend the Dutch language, with good results. I love doing this, so I can keep working with the poor as well on long-term. I can work with children and with adults. For myself I am studying Hebrew, and I know how important it is to work structural from foundation on, to get a proper understanding. (basic verbs, working on vocabulary, order in sentences, pronunciation etc.) I can work with people who speak English and Afrikaans. I am looking forward to hearing from you!

The most difficult part in learning a foreign language is the practice, which can be acquired only by conversing with a native speaker. For people willing to practice foreign languages, it is difficult to find a private language tutor who lives or works in their city. TUTOROO has been designed to provide a frictionless experience while connecting tutors to students, for private in-person language lessons.
