I'm a senior Chinese language teacher who is teaching the children and adults to study YCT & HSK now in Madrid. Also teach students to study Cantonese. I think to study a language you should follow the steps: Listening, speaking,reading and writing. So I always speak Chinese to students during the class. Of course, the student can not understand it in the beginning, but after twice,three times or more time, the students can understand the meaning. Then we can communicate with Chinese people. It is said, practice makes perfect!
