I have 2 years of experience teaching Afrikaans as a first and second language. I am very flexible and reliable. Afrikaans is a very easy language to learn especially if you grew up in South Africa and already speak English so please don’t hesitate to start. I look forward to helping you on this journey.

It's a really gratifying MOMENT when the Little Light Bulb Switches on. I am a trained teacher - my subject is Maths. I think Afrikaans is an easy language to learn - it only has three tenses ( past, present and future) and there is no difference in verbs for singular or multiple people/things, etc. There are also a lot of words that are very similar in Afrikaans and English - that will also make learning the vocabulary easy. I have been in Australia for nearly 14 years and we still speak fluent Afrikaans at home, I still feel it is my first language. I would love to teach you a language that I love!

**IN-PERSON & ONLINE LESSONS** Am a Swahili lady teacher with over 10 years of experience in teaching British curriculum schools certified by the Teachers service commission. I have a bachelors in Swahili and Geography. My preference is mostly teaching virtually from the comfort of your home. I teach both beginners and non beginners following his or her level and the need for learning the language. I use TPR ie total physical response in my teaching because physical activities strengthen the students understanding they are engaging as well as translation method more so for beginner students. Most learners are visual as it has high memory retention.
