I am an Afrikaans teacher, passionate about the language and teaching it. In my 7 years of teaching, I had the opportunity to teach learners from Grade R - Grade 7. I have been a second language Afrikaans teacher since 2018. I am a qualified teacher who holds a Bachelor of Education degree in the foundation phase. I am a first-year student of Bachelor of Honors in Education.
I have the advantage of teaching Afrikaans at CAPS as well as Cambridge level.
I am able to teach English Cambridge level up to Grade 7.
I am a vibrant person with a passion for teaching and learning. I love meeting new people and is always open to learning new things.

Yes, Afrikaans is easy to learn. The easiest ways of learning Afrikaans is by learning the vocabulary of things in your environment and greetings. Then build on to learning sounds as a stepping stone to reading. It is important to read with understanding, that is why a dictionary becomes your friend. When you read and you find a word that you do not know the meaning of, we look it up in the dictionary and also ensure we learn context of the word. This will not only improve your reading but also your ability to write better in Afrikaans. I believe in joy of learning, so we have fun while learning. With a lot of determination, Afrikaans can be learned in a matter of a few months.
