If you only do grammar exercises, you will be good at doing grammar exercises! In other words, if you speak a lot of Italian, you will be very good at speaking Italian. This is where many textbooks, courses and teachers fall short: they focus too much on exercises that do improve your Italian, but not in the way you want. (It's like doing sit-ups and expecting your arms to grow!) Of course, exercises are useful for learning the components of the language, but they should always be put in context and take into account your goals. I have learned this from personal experience studying languages and keep it in mind as I plan all my English classes. I try very hard to know what each student is looking for, from our chat at the first class to asking you for constant feedback on the lessonsi. We don't get distracted and always move towards your goals. I am passionate about my work and always aim to have a positive impact on my students.
