Hi, I’m originally from Sapporo, Japan, and moved to Singapore after graduated from the University of Sydney, Australia in 2001.
I've completed 420 hours of Japanese language teacher training from WJLC, Australia.
I’m a SPR (Singapore Permanent Resident).
I’ve taught in classroom settings, small groups, and one-to-one.
My teaching experience :
For kids (2 years old - ) primary school students, students who are taking Japanese as a third language (MOE), GCE-O-level, and adults
Preparation for JLPT (N5 to N1) and All of my students achieved outstanding results.
I’ve taught in classroom settings, small groups, and one-to-one.
Targeting Group: Preparation for JLPT in all levels, taking Japanese as a 3rd Language (MOLEC).
Beginners who would like to learn Japanese from scratch and aim to sit for JLPT in the future.
Learning materials will be provided, but if you would like to use the one that you’ve already had, we can use that, too.
Available to teach on Zoom and face-to-face anywhere in Singapore, except for the North area.

Yes and No.. but I will do my best to make you learn easy!

Yuki sensei is an amazing teacher to our daughter who started japanese with her when she was just two years old. Yuki sensei is really fun, and uses a range of dancing, singing, reading and games to engage our toddler who loves her lesson. She brings materials to engage her through picture cards and have gifted our child japanese song and reading books as well. We love the energy of Yuki sensei and the way she is very patient with our child, pacing with her and just having fun learning together. Our child is already able to remember some vocabulary and simple greetings since the start of her fortnightly sessions in Nov 2025. Highly recommend Yuki sensei as she's so versatile and able to work with young kids and adults!
We just had 1st lesson from Yukiko. It was great, she was very patient and came with prepared fruit cards for my children. Though our 3yr old kept losing attention, Yukiko Sensei kept her engaged throughout the class. The class was ended with introducing Japanese songs, it left the children with great enthusiam. Now they can't wait for the class next week.

My children (aged 6 and 8.5) have been taking lessons with Yukiko sensei for the past month and are thoroughly enjoying it. She is able to engage them throughout the lesson. Yukiko sensei is a very nice teacher who is patient and caring for me. She is willing to guide me through the textbook when I don’t know how to do certain parts of it. The lessons are always very interactive and engaging, keeping me excited for each class. Thanks to her guidance, I also managed to take the exams and pass with flying colors! I am currently an N3 student preparing for N2 and I strongly recommend her for those interested in taking Japanese! She also helps for those taking third language in secondary school!
Yukiko is a really great Japanese tutor - she is very friendly and patient, and always explains concepts to me that I don't understand clearly and provides resources to help me understand them better (especially tricky things that I have to memorise!)

Fantastic tutor. Exceeded my expectations . My girl was singing Japanese song after the first lesson. Yukiko-san is a very engaging tutor. She doesn’t make a kid sit but she teaches based on a kid’s interest which is important in my view (Reggio Emilia approach). My girl is a super active kid and Yukiko’s lessons are also built around songs and dances and exercises which worked so well for my girl. Thumbs up!
