Hello there! I'm Rikuto, originally from Tokyo, currently doing a science degree at the University of Melbourne. I'm 21 years old and spent a decade of my life in Tokyo, with another 10 years in the United States, although that was a while ago. So, while my English might not be flawless, I have been actively involved in tutoring, helping students bridge the gap between Japanese and English.
I take pride in my ability to offer detailed explanations in English for various Japanese concepts. Moreover, I am confident in my pronunciation skills for both Japanese and English. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me in either language during our sessions—I'm here to assist you with any questions or topics you'd like to explore.
I also watch a lot of anime, so anyone who is afraid or anxious about learning Japanese, I can help you out by talking about anime and learning Japanese from some of the scenes.
It would be a great pleasure teaching Japanese here in Melbourne and I would love to share my knowledge of Japanese in the best way you prefer.

Unfortunately, reading and writing are not easy because there are 3 types of characters to memorize with almost infinite combinations. However, listening and speaking are much easier because we import some words from English and there are a lot of fun listening materials like anime!
I will do my best so you can understand the Japanese structure and the native communication we do.
3 months would be enough to understand and do minimum communication with native Japanese. But it really depends on the effort you put in. I have seen some exchange students in Japan being able to listen and speak in a month and write, and read in half a year! But I would do what I can to achieve whatever goals you pursue.
