Hi, I’m Ai from Osaka, Japan.
I've been living in Brisbane since 2022.
I’ve been teaching high school students to adults past few years.
I like to teach not only Japanese but also Japanese culture, politics, and local information as I travelled to most of the prefectures in Japan. (44 prefectures completed out of 47)
My Teaching Style
-Conversation lesson
-Textbook based lesson
A textbook I use is “Irodori”, but if you have your preferred textbook, let me know.
- Freestyle (Just focus on grammar or N5 exam etc)
In our first lesson, I normally ask what you would like to get out of my tutoring and I coordinate a lesson depending on your needs.
I’m aware that there are not many Japanese living here compared to Sydney and Melbourne.
However, there are some Japanese English language exchange groups and Japanese events in Brisbane. I believe if you join that kind of group or event, it won't be hard to learn Japanese in Brisbane.
I would not say it’s an easy language to learn especially if you are an English native speaker since Japanese grammar is completely different from English ones. It also depends on what kind of skills you would like to get most. Speaking Japanese is easier compared to other skills and writing is the most difficult. (Trust me it’s even hard for a Japanese native speaker)
