HELLO!
I worked as a private casual tutor for a year (I taught English to Japanese kids in Japan). This is my first career as a Japanese teacher, but I have been studying communication for four years, making me available for the active learning style. I could support Japanese speaking and writing from the Japanese native perspective. I could also teach you the formal Japanese language, Keigo, which we use to show respect to others, especially to older people. My availability is Monday to Friday, 3:00 p.m. onwards, and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on weekends!
I understand many people say it is difficult to learn Japanese. We have three different types of characters; we change the language format depending on who we speak, etc. But thank you for getting interested in learning English. I hope we can have fun and improve your Japanese skills simultaneously.
It is easier than to learn Japanese in different countries. The best way to master a new language is to use it on a daily basis. I met many people speaking Japanese (or at least know a few words) in Brisbane. You could practice your Japanese in the lesson and also with your friends, for instance.
It depends on how much effort you put into it and what level you want to achieve. It could take a month to understand some words in sentences or it could communicate in a few months, Etc.
