Hello,
I think the easiest way to learn English is through making it fun, or connect it with what you are personally passionate about. Studies show learning in fun ways helps students retain information up to 30% more! In addition, I speak Korean, and understand the difficulties of learning another language.
I'm Nana. I majored in acting at the University of Southern California (USC), and film directing at Chung-Ang University.
I have a lot of hobbies, but I especially like artistic pursuits like dance and photography, and would love to discuss your own hobbies too!
Experience:
I am TEFL certified, working as a tutor for 6 years, and working at an academy for 1 year. In Korea I have tutored two businessmen who were preparing to work abroad. Within a year they both successfully got the job!
I am currently creating an "Acting in English" class with a Korean acting coach to create a fun and dramatic English class.
I change my lessons depending on the student's goals and weaknesses. If you are planning to travel, we will practice various traveling scenarios, if you wish to study abroad, we will focus on vocabulary you will need to succeed! While some parts of English may be challenging, I believe practice and patience will help you get to the level you want.
I believe there are a lot of academies that focus on tests and writing/listening, but it greatly lacks in the speaking practice. That's where I come in!
It can be a challenge, but I think every student learns differently and needs to correct teacher for their situation.
