As a child of a mixed marriage, I had been translating and teaching Arabic to my father since I started talking. This became built in, and I am repeatedly told that I have the natural talent of teaching. In 2013, I was part of an exchange program with German students learning Arabic and I helped teach them, helped with their homework, and saw closely where the difficulties were for them. In college, I have German friends learning Arabic and they come to me for advice from time to time. I write short stories in formal Arabic on social media, I had a score of 17/20 in literary Arabic in high school, and I speak a lot of different dialects of different Arab countries fluently.
