Hello! My name is Jonna and I am excited to help you learn Swedish. With a degree in English Studies, I have a strong understanding of grammar, language structure, and the intricacies of building languages. This academic background has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to teach language effectively, ensuring that my students not only learn but also understand the foundation behind Swedish.
I have honed my teaching skills by working as a nanny in New York and London, where I assisted children with homework and language learning. This experience strengthened my ability to explain concepts in a clear and engaging way.
Additionally, my partner is from England and I have taught him Swedish and he can now speak confidently and get by with ease in everyday life. This personal experience has given me an unique insight into the challenges and rewards of learning Swedish, which I will bring into my teaching.

Is Swedish easy to learn?
Swedish can be relatively easy for English speakers to learn due to similarities in vocabulary. However, there are many unwritten rules and various exceptions in Swedish, which need to be pointed out and explained by a native speaker, as they otherwise might not make much sense and will hinder your development. However, with dedication from you and with support from me it is a relatively easy language to learn.
How much time does it take to learn Swedish in Stockholm?
I know from experience that it is possible to achieve a basic understanding of Swedish within 1-2 months. The most important thing, according to me, is to grow your vocabulary which we then work on together to learn when to use which words/terms.
