Hello. I am a native Swahili speaker from Kenya with a strong background in teaching English and Swahili both in-person and online. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (English and Literature) and have over 4 years of experience helping learners from different countries understand and speak Swahili with confidence.
Whether you are a complete beginner or someone looking to improve your conversational Swahili, I tailor each lesson to your needs, pace, and goals. My teaching style is friendly, practical, and student-focused, you will find yourself learning real-life Swahili that you can use immediately.
Learning Swahili in Nairobi is very easy and practical because it is widely spoken across the city. You will have plenty of opportunities to practice with locals, read signs, follow conversations, and reinforce what you learn during lessons. Nairobi is one of the best places to learn Swahili naturally through daily interaction.
With regular lessons and consistent practice in daily life, a learner in Nairobi can begin to speak basic Swahili in as little as 6 to 8 weeks. Reaching conversational fluency often takes 3 to 6 months, depending on the learner’s commitment and exposure. Living in Nairobi gives you the perfect environment to learn quickly.
