My name is Lynnet Njeru, born and bred in Kenya where Swahili is our national language. My first language is Swahili and I use it 99% of the time when I am around my friends. The 1% is probably when I have to interact with someone new who does not know Swahili. I am more of a community teacher than a professional teacher. I have been a community tutor for the last 3 years training foreigners coming to Kenya for volunteer activities, business, and tourism, and how to speak Swahili.
My lessons are designed for people traveling to Swahili-speaking countries as tourists, volunteers, or for business trips. Expect to have very casual learning conversations where you will not even know you are in class.
It's very easy to learn Swahili in Nairobi as everywhere you go people will speak Swahili to you and when you don't get it they repeat the same in English.
Being outgoing or enrolling to a Swahili class are the easiest ways of learning Swahili.
