Jambo! I’m Lucy — a native Swahili speaker from Kenya, and I’m here to help you speak Swahili.
Whether you're just starting or looking to improve your fluency, I offer engaging and practical lessons tailored to your goals. I may not be a certified teacher, but I speak Swahili every day and will guide you through real-life vocabulary, useful expressions, pronunciation, and cultural context in a way that's easy to understand and apply.
Our sessions will be relaxed, friendly, and focused on what you need — whether it’s travel Swahili, conversational practice, or building your listening skills. I’m patient, supportive, and genuinely excited to help you enjoy the process of learning Swahili.
Let’s get started — Karibu sana!
In Mombasa, Swahili (Kiswahili) is spoken widely and often more purely than in cities like Nairobi, where Sheng (Swahili-English slang) is more common.
You’ll be fully immersed just by walking through the streets, visiting markets, or taking public transport (matatus or tuk-tuks).
The time it takes to learn Swahili in Mombasa depends on your goals and how often you practice, but progress can be quite fast here because of the natural language environment.
