Hi! My name is María Paula and I am a graduate in Psychology from Yale-NUS College. I was born and raised in Costa Rica, a small Spanish-speaking country in Central America known for its beautiful beaches and happy people! For the past 25 years, I have enjoyed engaging with both the formal and informal features of the Spanish language. This is because I have been able to explore this beautiful language in depth through my passion for literature. I currently have a year of experience tutoring children as well as some experience in tutoring adults. This experience has allowed me to understand how to address tutees more effectively. I think that cultural immersion is an essential part of learning Spanish as the student is more likely to become engaged with the subject if familiarity increases. My interests are varied and spread into various disciplines including STEM field, humanities, literature and more! Hope to see you soon!
