Hello! I'm Joe, a tutor who's just returned to the UK after living in Madrid for 9 years. I was born in Spain and moved to Wales when I was 5 - which means I speak both English and Spanish perfectly, as a native. I am an enthusiastic, friendly person who trained in acting. The skills I learned have served me since I started tutoring 8 years ago, ensuring that my communication is clear, direct and encouraging. I think one of the most important things a student can have when approaching various exams/challenges is the confidence to move forward, trusting their skills and the work that they have done to see them through. I have worked with students of all ages, and the one common denominator I have seen is that if a student is enjoying their sessions as much as they can, whilst also putting in the work, then - with the right guidance - they can do whatever they set their mind to. It is this mindset I aim to create in my students - through a variety of methods, varying according to the student/subject. I also believe that identifying these differences is what makes an effective tutor, and it is something I prioritize highly in my approach.
