Native Nigerian Pidgin Tutor. Learn to Speak Natural Nigeri

Hi! My name is Zeal, and I’m a native Nigerian Pidgin speaker from Nigeria. I grew up speaking Nigerian Pidgin and English, so I understand how Pidgin is naturally spoken in everyday Nigerian life.

I’m here to help foreigners learn Nigerian Pidgin in a simple, practical, and enjoyable way. Whether you’re planning to visit Nigeria, have Nigerian friends or family, enjoy Nigerian music and movies, or simply want to understand and speak Pidgin confidently, I can help you.

My lessons will focus on real-life conversations, common expressions, pronunciation, Nigerian slang, and the meanings behind the words. I’ll also explain the Nigerian culture and situations behind certain expressions so you don't just memorize words—you understand when and how to use them.

You don't need any previous knowledge of Nigerian Pidgin. We can start from the basics and gradually build your confidence through conversation and practice.

I’m friendly, patient, and happy to work with beginners. My goal is to make learning Nigerian Pidgin feel natural, useful, and fun.

Lessons are available online for students worldwide. 🇳🇬🌍

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it difficult to learn Pidgin in Lagos?

Not difficult at all actually. Pidgin is very conversational. You pick it up by using it in daily life. Listening to how people speak in markets, at work, or with friends. Most foreigners learn the greetings first, then simple sentences like "How are you?" or "I want to buy food." The hardest part is not grammar, it's learning the rhythm and common slang. With a bit of practice, you can start using everyday Pidgin within weeks.

How much time does it take to learn Pidgin in Lagos?

It depends on how immersed you are. If you're living in Lagos and using it every day, you can pick up the basics in a few weeks, and become comfortable in a few months. Fluency takes longer, of course, but for daily conversations, many learners feel confident within 3 to 6 months. Consistency matters way more than perfect study techniques. Just talk to people.
