Hi! I’m a native Nigerian Pidgin speaker, and I’d love to help you learn the language in a way that feels natural, useful, and enjoyable.
If you’ve ever heard Nigerians speaking Pidgin and wondered what they were saying, you’re in the right place! My lessons focus on the kind of Pidgin you’ll actually hear in everyday conversations, not just words you memorize from a textbook.
We can learn greetings, common expressions, pronunciation, slang, sentence formation, and real conversations. I’ll also explain the meaning and appropriate use of expressions, because sometimes knowing the words is not enough — you also need to know when and how Nigerians use them.
Whether you’re a complete beginner, visiting Nigeria, have Nigerian friends or family, enjoy Nigerian music and movies, or simply want to learn something new, I’ll meet you at your level.
You don’t have to worry about making mistakes. My lessons are relaxed and friendly, and I’ll encourage you to practice and ask questions comfortably. We’ll take things step by step and work toward helping you understand and speak Nigerian Pidgin with confidence.
If you’re ready to learn real Nigerian Pidgin and understand the culture behind the language, I’d be happy to teach you. Let’s start small and make you comfortable with Pidgin, one conversation at a time!
Pidgin is quite easy to learn, especially if you already understand English. The best way to learn is through regular conversation and practice. With my lessons, you’ll learn useful everyday expressions, pronunciation, slang and how to use words naturally in real conversations. I’ll guide you step by step, so even if you are a complete beginner, you can gradually become comfortable understanding and speaking Nigerian Pidgin.
The time it takes to learn Nigerian Pidgin depends on your starting level, how often you practise, and what you want to achieve. With regular lessons and practice, a complete beginner can start understanding and using simple everyday expressions within a few weeks. With consistent practice over 2 to 3 months, many learners can become comfortable with basic conversations. Becoming highly fluent takes longer and depends on how much you practise and use Pidgin outside lessons.
