Hello! I’m Shifa Jan, a native Pashto and Urdu teacher with over 8 years of experience helping students speak naturally, confidently, and comfortably. Born in Peshawar and deeply rooted in Afghan heritage, I combine language learning with rich cultural insight to make every lesson meaningful, practical, and real.

I design my lessons around real communication, not memorization. Students don’t just study the language—they use it. My teaching style is supportive, structured, and adapted to each learner’s goals.

My Teaching Approaches

I offer three flexible learning paths, depending on your learning style and objectives:

Growing Participator Approach (GPA) – Natural Communication
This immersive method focuses on understanding and speaking naturally through stories, images, real-life situations, and guided interaction. It’s ideal for beginners and learners who want to think in the language without pressure or boring drills.

Intensive Grammar with Conversation Practice
For learners who want structure and accuracy, this approach combines clear grammar explanations with guided speaking practice. You learn why the language works the way it does—and immediately practice using it in real conversations.

6-Level Speaking Program (Vocabulary + Mini-Grammar)
This step-by-step speaking program builds confidence progressively. Each level introduces useful vocabulary, essential mini-grammar, and practical speaking tasks, helping students move from basic communication to fluent, natural expression.

Who I Teach

I am especially passionate about teaching Afghan women and girls, including those living abroad and those who have been denied access to formal education. My mission is to support learners in gaining language skills that promote confidence, independence, and connection.

In addition to language teaching, I have an academic background in Chemistry and experience in coding, which helps me bring clarity, organization, and problem-solving skills into every lesson.
