Private Latvian Tutor in Riga and Online
I have experience in teaching Latvian for more than 10 years.
I work with my own materials plus the newest editions by Latvian Language Agency, but I am open to explore also other materials, e.g. necessary for your job. We will see what kind of practices work best for you!
Please note that Tutoroo will charge you for the first two weeks their own amount, I have no saying in their price. Now my price is 30 EUR per hour or 45 EUR for 1,5 h.
I prefer online, but during the summer we can have contact lessons as well.
About me- I got the first prize in Latvian language state competition, when in high school. Now I have two MA degrees and continue to study! I enjoy being a tutor. I started teaching Latvian while being part time nanny, but for the past 9 years mostly I have worked with adults. My best students today can understand Latvian classical novels and poetry. One of them is writing lyrics for music in Latvian. My "slowest" students can carry on with their everyday life in Riga and do business in public institutions (post office, PMLP i.a.). Let me know if references are needed.

Is Latvian easy to learn?
Not the easiest language, but in 2 months time you would be able to have a simple discussion in a shop, restaurant, tell about yourself etc.
Is it difficult to learn Latvian in Riga?
No :) Also, the expat community (they are ready to practice Latvian together) here is quite big.
