Hello! I am a native Korean speaker who is passionate about helping students learn Korean in an enjoyable, practical, and supportive environment.
I have one year of teaching experience at an English academy, where I taught both English and Korean to foreign children. This experience helped me understand that every student learns differently, so I always adapt my teaching style to match each student's level, goals, and learning pace. I strive to create a comfortable atmosphere where students feel confident asking questions and practicing without worrying about making mistakes.
My lessons focus on real-life communication rather than simple memorization. I like to use everyday conversations, useful expressions, interactive activities, and cultural examples to make learning both effective and enjoyable. Whether you are a complete beginner or already have some knowledge of Korean, I will guide you step by step and help you build confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
I also believe that learning should be fun and motivating. Many students become interested in Korean because of K-pop, K-dramas, Korean food, or Korean culture. I enjoy incorporating these interests into my lessons by using song lyrics, drama clips, cultural topics, and current trends whenever appropriate. By connecting the language to topics students already enjoy, I help them stay motivated and make learning feel natural rather than overwhelming.
Many students ask if Korean is difficult to learn. While Korean grammar and sentence structure are different from English, Hangul, the Korean alphabet, is one of the most logical writing systems in the world and can often be learned within just a few hours or days with regular practice. The easiest way to learn Korean is to master Hangul first, practice speaking consistently, and use the language in everyday situations instead of relying only on memorization.
Another common question is how long it takes to learn Korean. The answer depends on your goals and how often you practice. With consistent study, many learners can start having simple conversations within a few months, while reaching an advanced level naturally takes more time. My goal is to make every lesson enjoyable, personalized, and encouraging so that students stay motivated throughout their learning journey.
In addition to teaching the language itself, I enjoy introducing Korean culture, customs, etiquette, and natural expressions that native speakers actually use in daily life. I believe that language and culture go hand in hand, and I hope to help students not only improve their Korean skills but also develop a deeper understanding of Korea. I look forward to supporting you on your Korean learning journey and helping you achieve your goals with confidence.
Learning Korean in Sydney is easier than many people think. Sydney has a vibrant Korean community, Korean restaurants, grocery stores, cultural events, and language exchange opportunities, which give learners many chances to experience Korean beyond the classroom.
The best way to learn Korean is to combine regular lessons with consistent practice. I encourage my students to use Korean in real-life situations and to learn through topics they already enjoy, such as K-pop, K-dramas, Korean food, and Korean culture. This makes learning more engaging and helps students stay motivated.
Whether you are learning Korean for travel, work, TOPIK preparation, or simply because you love Korean culture, I will tailor each lesson to your goals and learning style. With the right guidance and consistent practice, learning Korean can be both enjoyable and rewarding.
