Private Japanese Tutor in Tokyo and Online

Hello. My name is Emi. I am a native Japanese speaker and currently live in Tokyo. I speak English (B1), although not fluently. I am also learning Spanish and can understand simple sentences (A1-A2).

I have a university degree in economics and have worked as an adult for more than 20 years in several companies.
In my mid-30s, I enrolled in an art college and completed a master's degree, and I am currently involved in laboratory management as a part-time lecturer at a university. I also work in the office of a Japanese company and belong to a graduate school where I am writing my doctoral thesis on Spanish painting.

Although this is my first time teaching Japanese, I can teach Japanese because of my long working experience, and my experience in writing reports and papers, discussions and presentations, proofreading students' papers, and writing essays as a teacher.
I can help you improve your ability to use correct Japanese and honorific expressions in daily life, at school, at work, and in various other situations, as well as your reading comprehension (the ability to correctly understand the meaning and read nuances), conversation, and writing expression.
I customize lesson methods and materials according to your goals, level, and interests.

In addition, we can check and proofread academic reports, papers, and business writing, and provide practice in presentations and discussions. Please let me know if you would like to use this service.

Thank you for reading to the end.
I look forward to meeting you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Japanese easy to learn?

Learning a new language, not only Japanese but any language, is not easy. I think it is essential to keep at it. Learn vocabulary and expressions with an awareness of context, and then actually use them.

How much time does it take to learn Japanese in Tokyo?

There are individual differences. It depends on the amount of time you spend studying, how you learn ( whether it suits you or not), how often you use the language on a daily basis, etc.
