Hello everyone, こんにちは. My name is Masae, but all of my friends call me Matcha. I have been teaching Japanese and Chinese for more than three years. I had stayed in Shanghai, China for 6 years due to my parents' job when I was a kid. After I came back to Japan for high school, I decided to study abroad. Hence, I enrolled in the University of Melbourne after I graduated from high school in Tokyo. I have been teaching more than 80 students since I started tutoring languages. I personally prefer teaching a new language through the language the students are familiar with. I can teach Japanese or Chinese through English, Japanese, or Chinese because I'm fluent in all three languages:) I took the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test in the year 2023. In my free time, I love to watch anime and manga, but I also love cooking and spending some time digging into the understanding of Japanese culture.
