Hello! I am Iku. I come from Kyoto, Japan. I used to specialise in Applied Linguistics and study how to teach languages at a postgraduate level. I was born and raised in Kyoto and then I worked as a tutor for around three years in Japan. After that, I started to work as an English teacher at a high school. Not only did I teach English, but I have also taught Japanese to some people here in Australia. As well as I am experienced, I am very passionate about teaching languages. Although Japanese is said to be one of the hardest languages in the world, do not fret about it!! Feel free to flick me a message if you are interested in Japanese, especially the Kansai dialect!
I believe that it would be the best to aim for a Japanese examination such as N4 or N3. Setting a specific goal definitely helps you to stay motivated towards learning Japanese. Also, I highly recommend that you make some Japanese friends and exchange languages. There are many Japanese students in Australia so you can make some friends quite easily.
I would not say it is easy to learn but it is not that hard when it comes to speaking. You are often allowed to drop subjects and even change word orders!!!
