Hi! I’m Francesco, I’m Italian and I’d love to help you discover my language and, at the same time, the culture around it.
I have a degree in Communication Sciences and I’ve always been interested in the way people communicate, especially in how a language can connect you with the culture and the people who speak it.
I’m at the beginning of my journey as an Italian tutor, but communicating with people from different countries is something I’ve been doing for years. I’ve worked in restaurants and hospitality, so I often find myself talking with tourists from all over the world, helping them understand a menu, order something, ask for information or simply have a conversation. Very often we end up talking about Italy, food, art, travelling or everyday life.
This is also the kind of Italian I would like to bring into my lessons: the Italian people actually use, not only grammar and exercises.
I’m passionate about art, music, food, poetry and Italian traditions, and I’m particularly curious about words - where they come from, why we use certain expressions and how sometimes a small difference can completely change the feeling of a sentence.
If you are starting from zero, we will take it slowly and playfull, building things step by step. I can explain things in English when it’s useful, and I also like introducing Italian from the beginning, even if it’s just a few simple words or expressions. Making mistakes is part of the process, and I think it’s one of the best ways to start feeling comfortable with a language.
I believe in the idea of small, regular habits: a few words today, a little conversation tomorrow, one new expression that you actually remember and use. Small steps can create big changes over time, and I think the same is true when learning a language. You don’t need to learn everything at once - consistency, curiosity and small improvements can take you surprisingly far.
We can work on pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar and conversation, but we can also talk about a song, a dish, an interesting Italian expression, a place, a film or something you saw and hear about Italy.
If you’re curious about Italian and you want to learn it in a relaxed and enjoyable way, I’d be very happy to meet you. 🇮🇹
I don’t think learning Italian in Milan has to be difficult: Milan can become part of your classroom. You can hear Italian on the streets, in cafés, at work, everywhere. I believe in small, regular steps: one new word, expression or a little conversation every day. These small habits may not feel like much at first, but over time they can completely change the way you understand and use the language.
With consistent practice, you can start having simple conversations in Italian within a few months. Around 3–6 months can be enough to feel more comfortable in everyday situations.
In Milan, you can make the process more natural by using Italian in everyday life, learning the expressions people actually use, meeting new people and listening to how they speak. Even a little practice every day, combined with something more structured each week, can take you surprisingly far.
With patience, consistency and the joy of learning something new, Italian can gradually become part of your everyday life.
