I am Monica and this is my Italian story…

I was born in autumn just after the harvest of Nebbiolo grapes, 31 years ago in a tiny village in Piedmont called Govone. I grew up in my grandparents’ grocery store and with them I learned the beautiful art of hospitality, smiling and being kind to all the customers, all of whom we knew by name.
I studied Architecture at the Polytechnic of Turin, where I lived for 6 years and I graduated in 2011 with a thesis on energy sustainable buildings.
BUT If you grow up between the Langhe & Roero hills, food, wine, beautiful landscapes, and hospitality become part of your soul and it’s hard to stay far away from them, in front of a computer, even if your office is in one of the most iconic buildings in Turin.

After many experiences in different fields between architecture, hospitality and events managing I finally discovered that my path in life was to share all that I know about my beloved country, its infinite culture, and its romantic language.
I worked as an Italian language teacher in Perth, then Spain and now in Melbourne (where I open my own business). I possess excellent organizational skills which I will use to prepare your tailor-made lesson no matter what age you are. I place great emphasis on the spoken component of the language as this most often is the best results and maintains the interest of her students. I provide classes for private individuals and corporate organizations. My Method is to engaged the student with the diver's approach including games, general conversation, and culture information. If desired I can share my passions for art, architecture, photography, and cooking.
