I am currently attending an online gymnasium, working towards my Matura in 2026. I have a strong passion for learning and teaching, and I enjoy helping others succeed. In addition to my tutoring experience, I have explored various creative fields, including art and design, having completed a preparatory course at the F+F School of Art and Design. I have also worked in customer service, including roles as a barista and library assistant at PH Zurich, where I developed my communication and organizational skills.
In my free time, I engage in freelancing as an all-rounder and tutor, helping students of all ages with a wide range of subjects. I am also passionate about sustainability and actively participate in environmental organizations and events. This combination of teaching experience, creative background, and dedication to making a positive impact allows me to connect with students in a meaningful way and foster their growth both academically and personally.
The easiest way to learn a language is through conversations. Practice with native speakers helps improve fluency. Join language exchange groups or meetups. Speak as much as possible in real-life situations. Consistency is key.
It’s not particularly difficult, especially compared to other places. Zurich has a large expat community, and many people speak English, so you won’t feel isolated while learning. Plus, with the variety of language schools, online resources, and local opportunities, you have plenty of ways to immerse yourself in the language.
However, Swiss German (the local dialect) can be challenging for beginners, as it differs quite a bit from Standard German. But most learners focus on Standard German initially, and there are plenty of resources for both!
