I am a French political science student, freshly graduated from the University of Montpellier.
It’s been a long time since I started giving lessons to student, essentially middle school who needed help with history lessons. I also have a little sister and I help her a lot with mathematics. Conclusion, I have experiences in teaching, I know how it is hard to learn an other language than its native. Nevertheless, willing make the difference, I know people who started French not a long time ago and who are actually speaking more fluent than native. So, I do not think it’s impossible, you will have to practice a lot. And, may be what’s interesting is that the student and I will be on the same boat. I need to practice my English more so I think I will be able to understand what are the student needs to improve.

Is French easy to learn?
I think there are a lot of grammatical rules, conjugation is a bit tricky. But I think that it’s easy, like in learning other languages, to speak a French basic. All you need is your unrestricted wish to improve, a lot of work, a bit of strictness and be aware of your mistakes.
