My name is Charlie (she/her), and I’m an artist and trilingual tutor based in Berlin. I speak French, English, and Arabic fluently, and I’ve been teaching French and English for over 7 years in France, Beirut, and online. I also hold a multilingual Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Literature & Foreign and Regional Civilizations and graduated top of my class in French and English for three consecutive years. On top of that, I studied acting at Cours Florent, one of the most prestigious drama schools in France — an experience that enhanced my communication, creativity, and ability to adapt lessons to each student’s needs.
My teaching style is flexible and highly personalized. I design each session around your goals, level, and interests, making sure you not only improve your grammar and vocabulary but also build confidence in real-life communication. I’ll regularly evaluate your progress and adjust our lessons so you stay motivated and challenged. Above all, I focus on your strengths to help you maximize your potential.

Is French easy to learn?
French is often seen as one of the easier languages for English speakers to pick up, thanks to shared vocabulary and similar sentence structures. Of course, it has its own challenges (like pronunciation or verb conjugations), but with the right guidance and consistent practice, most students find it much more approachable than they expected. The key is to make learning fun, relevant, and connected to real life, which is exactly how I teach.
How much time does it take to learn French in Berlin?
It really depends on your starting point and how much time you dedicate. If you’re consistent with lessons and practice outside of class, you can reach conversational fluency in about 6 to 12 months. Living in a city like Berlin makes it easier, too, there are plenty of opportunities to practice with international communities, cultural events, and French speakers you’ll meet here. The more you integrate French into your daily life, the faster you’ll progress.
