Private Filipino Tutor in Manila and Online

I am a father. I have been a father for almost 24 years. I can go on and brag about all my experiences in my life as a team leader in different industries (Banking, Consumer/Manufacturing, Executive Search Firms, Call Center and BPO Companies), brag about being a certified internet professional, or even boast about my role as a senior financial analyst, but to perfectly describe my purpose in this world, it would be my role as a father.

Teaching is not easy, it never has been, and I may not have the specific teaching background you are looking for but I am determined to have this kind of job. Apart from having 9 years of experience from the call center industry where I was able to communicate with multiple clients from all over the world, helping and assisting them with whatever they may need—troubleshooting, taking supervisory calls, technical support, I can say that I am fit enough to be a part of this because I have been teaching ever since I had my first child.

It is undeniable that having a parental role requires you to teach and discpline your children so they can reach their dreams and pursue their path to success, but it is through my willingness and determination as a father that made me want to teach and be there for my children. Most, if not all, of their learnings came from me, and although times are changing where they're the ones teaching me, they still find themselves coming to me for help, advice, and wise words. My role as a father has made me realize how fulfilling it was to offer help whenever they're struggling.

That is something I wish to continue, the ability to help and be there for other people. I may be a father, but the most fulfilling part about my role is that I know how to adapt, communicate, be patient, and to offer new perspectives/teachings to those in need.

If you wish to know more about me, feel free to contact me.

Frequently Asked Questions

How easy is it to learn Filipino in Manila?

I could say that Filipino/Tagalog is an easy language to learn but then I've been told that Filipino is a very complicated language that requires time, passion, and patience. Out of all the languages displayed and are available to translating platforms, you rarely see Filipino/Tagalog in any of them. That is because Filipino is a language that requires constant communication and exposure. You have to immerse and put yourself out there with those who can speak the language, so that you'll be able to differentiate, understand, and learn the importance of the language. It is up to those who wish to learn Filipino/Tagalog, because if they are persistent and passionate enough then they'll be able to learn it in no time.

What is the easiest way to learn Filipino in Manila?

The easiest way to learn Filipino/Tagalog is to immerse yourself in the culture and country. Philippines is known for being a hospitable country, Filipinos are very approachable; talking and asking people who speak Tagalog can really help boost your knowledge the language, some of them are even willing to give you tips on how to pronounce specific words. If you're afraid to communicate with locals, you can always start by reading newspapers and books written in Filipino, highlight words you aren't familiar with and try to do research on it before you reconstruct the sentences. You can even watch shows or films made in the Philippines that can help you familiarize some keywords; if you're watching a Tagalog show/film, turn on the English subtitles but if you're watching your favorite show, make sure to turn on the subtitles for Tagalog.

Even though you can learn Filipino by simply reading, it is communication and immersion that helps make learning the language easier especially since there are words that are spelled the same but pronounced differently thus having a different meaning.
