I am a US-certified teacher with professional teaching licenses in Texas, Colorado, Nevada, and Kentucky for grades 5-12. Since 2007 I have taught literature, reading, writing, and Advanced Placement (AP) Language and Composition in person or online in schools across the USA. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Purdue University and a Master of Science in Special Education from Western Governors University. I have enjoyed online tutoring non-native English speakers (ages 4-16) based in China.
I understand the challenges of learning a second language and am a creative educator who is dedicated to finding ways to help my students thrive in their language acquisition and mastery.
